Have a licensed plumber install the electric valve. Wire the valve to the master unit. The rest is amazingly simple. No additional wiring, no tools— just you, your device, and Nowa.
Install the master unit
Use the app to connect the master unit to your wireless network. Have the network password handy before you start. An optional cellular network (GSM) connection is also available.
Assign locations to the detectors
Your Nowa 360 system detectors are already synchronized with the master unit when they arrive. Assign a name to each detector on the app, based on where it is (e.g., dishwasher, water heater, bathroom, server room). Be specific so you can figure it out easily.
Put the detectors in place
Installing detectors is dead simple. Set them on the floor near water pipes. Make sure there’s a detector anywhere there’s a risk of a leak or freezing. They don’t need to be plugged in.
Be sure the valve is installed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Once the valve is installed, you can maintain your Nowa system on your own without calling in the pros.
Actuator
Your Nowa actuator was designed for easy replacement. It comes off the valve easily with no mess. And there’s no problem opening and closing the valve without it. You can do it manually. Just order a new actuator and connect it. Remember to put in the pin. That’s all there is to it.
Detectors
Changing a battery every 10 years is no big deal. And when the time comes, it’s just like changing the battery on a portable radio. All you need is a small screwdriver and a regular battery (CR2450) you can pick up at any big box store.
